Gordon is pulled into a Cosmic Pipeline

July 1, 2009

Mock-up transition from scene 1 to scene 2. We first hear the rain that has been falling throughout the scene, rain on glass. Then the rain becomes more prominent and we hear police and ambulance sirens in the background. At about 20s in voices from a sung Latin mass begin to overtake the sirens and rain until all we hear is the mass being sung for Gordon's funeral. When the music ends Mrs. Gottlieb approaches the pulpit to speak. Extra time is given for scenery.

Uploaded the Latin Mass for the transition into and top of scene 2 as well as "You'll Never Walk Alone" for the end of scene 2.

Updated Cell Phone Ballet with voices. Top has been trimmed so that the track can begin when Gordon reaches for the umbrella.

Jean's voice-over in the cafe... "Should I stay with him? There seems to be no one working in this cafe".

The updated and fully realized noir music written by Jason Waggoner

June 24, 2009

A rough cut of the Cell Phone Ballet. A short description of the scene (from a sound perspective): Scene is played in the same diner as scene one, outside noise, including rain, thunder and traffic, should be the same (traffic is not included). They are distant, as outside and behind glass. As the ballet approaches we hear a soft ring in the distance soft wind chimes are heard. The rain becomes more pronounced as the dancers come on to the stage and the music begins.

As the music ends, the rain returns outside and the chimes drift into the distance. The sound of rain outside resumes as if it never left and this surreal in surreal moment ends.

The first things I am posting are samples of noir music composed by Jason Waggoner for scenes 1:3 and 2:4. I feel that sample two is much stronger and should be the direction forward.
